RICHMOND, Va. — Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches is bringing a wave of economic growth to Richmond with the opening of a new production facility on Transport Street, creating more than 160 new jobs.
Richmond Mayor Danny Avula was present to celebrate the expansion, which signals continued growth for the locally-founded brand. Nightingale was established in 2016 by entrepreneurs Hannah Pollack and Xavier Meers and has since become a major player in the specialty dessert market.
Known for its handcrafted ice cream sandwiches, Nightingale products are now available in over 5,000 grocery stores across the United States. The company’s latest investment highlights the increasing demand for premium ice cream options and reflects broader growth in ice cream franchise opportunities nationwide.
As the latest ice cream franchise to scale up operations in Richmond, Nightingale is not only creating jobs but also reinforcing the city’s role in the booming frozen dessert industry.
