CAYMAN BRAC, CAYMAN ISLANDS — For the first time in three decades, Cayman Brac residents are enjoying the return of a beloved local tradition: the ice cream truck. Izzy’s Delights, a vibrant and brightly colored mobile food truck, has been serving islanders with fresh food and ice cream treats for the past two months.
Owned and operated by Caymanians Rochelle Smith and Cameron Brown, Izzy’s Delights was created to meet the community’s need for convenient, delicious snacks on the go. “It’s wonderful that now we do, especially with how easy and fast it is to get what you want,” said longtime fan Keira Bodden, who shared that she had never seen an ice cream truck on the island before.
True to classic ice cream truck style, Izzy’s Delights plays familiar melodies as it makes its daily rounds across Cayman Brac. Customers can track its location live via WhatsApp and even request stops at homes, schools, and offices. One of its popular daily stops is the Kirkconnell Community Care Centre, where both elderly clients and staff eagerly anticipate the savory and sweet treats.
Beyond its regular routes, Izzy’s Delights also caters private parties and community events, aiming to bring wholesome enjoyment and convenience wherever its customers are.
The return of Izzy’s Delights highlights the growing appeal of mobile ice cream franchise opportunities, bringing fresh and creative dessert experiences to communities—even in the most unexpected places.
