NAPA VALLEY, CA — Grammy-nominated singer Benson Boone wowed fans with one of his signature backflips—not on stage during a concert, but during an ice cream demonstration at the BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival. The 22-year-old artist joined actor Adam DeVine and celebrity chefs Bryan and Michael Voltaggio on the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage on May 24 to showcase his blueberry-flavored “Moonbeam Ice Cream,” delighting festival-goers ahead of his main stage performance.
Boone, known for his high-energy stage presence, surprised the crowd by executing a flawless backflip during the demo, a move fans usually only see during his live shows. “So far, I’ve hit it every time,” Boone told Z100 New York in a recent interview about his acrobatics. “There’s a couple times I’ve had landings that weren’t my favorite, but never anything really bad.”
The ice cream was inspired by Boone’s song “Mystical Magical,” which features the whimsical treat in its lyrics. Ahead of the single’s April release, Boone teased the flavor on Instagram with a pint of “Benny’s Moonbeam Ice Cream,” sparking curiosity among his followers.
“Mystical Magical” debuted at Coachella in April and serves as the second single from Boone’s upcoming album American Heart, set for release on June 20.
Boone’s playful fusion of music and frozen treats reflects a growing trend in the latest ice cream franchise scene where artists and brands collaborate to create unique experiences that engage fans beyond the stage.
With his signature flips and innovative ice cream flavors, Boone continues to charm audiences and expand his creative reach—one scoop at a time.
