Havmor Ice Cream, an 80-year-old Indian brand now owned by South Korea’s Lotte Confectionery, is doubling down on its identity as a real dairy ice cream company in a market often confused between dairy-based ice creams and frozen desserts made with vegetable oils.
Managing Director Komal Anand says the brand is emphasizing ingredient transparency and premium quality to appeal to increasingly conscious consumers. Since the 2017 Lotte acquisition, Havmor has modernized its manufacturing and expanded its product lineup, including high-end offerings like the Krunch bar and chocolate-based bestsellers like Zulubar and Blockbuster Chocolate.
Havmor leverages Korean technology and Lotte’s global capabilities while staying grounded in Indian flavor preferences and regional strengths—especially in Gujarat. Anand notes that chocolate remains the top choice in the premium segment, but regional fruit flavors like mango and strawberry also drive strong demand.
With India’s ice cream market now worth over ₹30,000 crore, Havmor aims for steady, quality-focused expansion across both traditional and digital channels—positioning itself as a hybrid brand that blends global innovation with local taste.
