New Delhi: Tragedy struck near India Gate in the national capital as an ice cream vendor fell victim to a fatal stabbing, confirmed police authorities. The victim, identified as Prabhakar (25), was mercilessly attacked with knives in a late Wednesday evening incident, leading to his grievous injuries.
Delhi Police responded swiftly upon receiving reports of the assault on the ice cream vendor. Rushing to the scene, law enforcement personnel promptly transported the victim to the hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite efforts to save him, Prabhakar tragically succumbed to his injuries, marking a devastating loss.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased was assaulted with a knife following a dispute. The victim sustained three wounds, one of which proved to be fatal due to its severity. Additionally, upon examination, we discovered some cash and a watch in the victim’s possession,” revealed police officials.
A case has been registered under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), reflecting the gravity of the incident.
The search for the perpetrator, who is currently evading authorities, has intensified with the aid of CCTV footage obtained from nearby establishments. Efforts to track down and apprehend the accused are ongoing as part of the investigative process.
