It’s been just over a year since Lick Homemade Ice Cream opened its doors in Puyallup, and in that short time, it has become a beloved local treasure. Known for its commitment to quality ingredients, small-batch recipes, and community-centered approach, the shop has earned a devoted following.
Homemade Treats with Heart
Lick offers a thoughtfully crafted menu that includes creamy, homemade ice cream, freshly baked cookies and brownies for mix-ins, and indulgent ice cream sandwiches. Beyond the classics, guests can also enjoy cold brew floats, Red Bull spritzers, and a variety of “dirty sodas” — all served in a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere.
One of the early fan-favorite flavors, butter brickle, remains a hit. The shop keeps things interesting with a rotating menu that adapts to demand, offering dairy- and gluten-free options and house-made waffle cones in seasonal flavors like red velvet and chocolate. Ice cream pies are also a popular grab-and-go option from the cooler.
A Family Dream Turned Community Favorite
“We wanted to add value to our community. We love Puyallup and its people,” said Heidi Kinne, co-owner of the family-run business. “Our kids grew up here. Going for ice cream is one of our favorite family activities, and part of wonderful memories. We wanted to create that for others.”
Whether you’re looking for a nostalgic scoop, a sweet pick-me-up, or a place to make memories, Lick Homemade Ice Cream has become the go-to spot in Puyallup for joy in a cone.
