Known for their award-winning cheese, butter, and ice cream, the Oregon-based co-op has launched two new limited-edition flavors that are sure to make a lasting impression on fans.
Earlier this month, Tillamook introduced its Salty Caramel Pretzel flavor, which combines salted vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate-covered pretzel pieces and salted caramel. Fans have already declared it a “guaranteed customer for life” flavor. But for those still on the fence, Tillamook is offering another exciting new flavor that promises to be just as irresistible.
The brand has released a limited-edition Apple Crisp ice cream, and it’s already gaining rave reviews. If you’ve ever walked into your grandma’s house on a cozy holiday afternoon and been greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked apple crisp, then you know the sensation Tillamook is aiming to recreate. This new flavor brings the nostalgia of that classic dessert to life, made with vanilla ice cream, real baked oatmeal streusel, and apple pieces.
Hunter Clayton, Tillamook’s Senior R&D Associate Scientist, shared the inspiration behind the flavor: “To create the Apple Crisp flavor, we used a recipe from my mother as a base to help us translate apple crisp into ice cream. We all know the smell and unforgettable taste of a warm apple crisp, and what better way to tap into that nostalgia than a homemade recipe?”
Tillamook soft-launched the Apple Crisp flavor in late 2024, and it officially hit shelves in December. Fans were quick to express their love on social media, with one Reddit user saying, “The vanilla ice cream with the perfect blend of apple and crisp takes me back to my childhood. Literally my favorite ice cream of all time.” A reviewer on Kroger’s website echoed this sentiment, calling the texture “heavenly” and the ice cream “my new favorite by far.”
If you haven’t spotted the new flavor on your local store shelves, don’t worry. Tillamook’s Apple Crisp ice cream is now available at major retailers nationwide, including Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, and Publix, but only for a limited time.
In addition to the new limited-edition flavors, Tillamook has also announced that two previously limited-edition flavors—Orange & Cream and Campfire Peanut Butter Cup—will be joining the brand’s permanent lineup. These crowd favorites will now be available year-round at retailers.
