Popular Bay Area ice cream chain Humphry Slocombe has expanded its reach with a new location in Concord’s The Veranda. The shop, which opened its doors on Monday, celebrated its grand opening by offering free scoops to customers and inviting them to donate to charity partner Project Open Hand.

Founded in 2008 with a mission to “make ice cream less vanilla,” Humphry Slocombe is known for its unique and innovative flavors. With existing locations across San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and the Peninsula, the Concord shop marks the company’s continued expansion into the East Bay.
