Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is debuting its new line of ice cream bars, known as J-Bars, now available in freezer aisles across the United States.
Beth Stallings, Senior Director of Innovation at Jeni’s, explained the brand’s commitment to quality: “We made no concessions and took no shortcuts when making our J-Bars. We held ourselves to the same high standards that we do when creating every pint of ice cream. Above all else, every bite had to be wildly delicious.”
The J-Bar collection features four distinct flavors:
Vanilla Caramel Sundae – Inspired by the first ice cream bar Jeni ever created, this bar features vanilla ice cream with smoky almonds, a ribbon of caramel sauce, and a crunchy chocolaty coating.
Dark Chocolate Bombe – A rich combination of chocolate ice cream and decadent chocolate cookies, all enveloped in a chocolaty shell.
Passion Fruit Dreamsicle – A tropical blend of aromatic passion fruit and tangy key lime, offering a fresh twist on a classic treat.
Chocolate Churros & Cream – An exclusive offering at Whole Foods Market, this bar combines brown sugar and Vietnamese cinnamon ice cream with chocolate and cinnamon cookies.
Jeni’s connection to ice cream bars goes back to the company’s early days. Founder Jeni Britton would hand-mold and hand-dip ice cream bars, or “J-Bars,” at the original North Market location in Columbus. The new Vanilla Caramel Sundae J-Bar is a tribute to the very first bar Jeni ever made, featuring vanilla ice cream, caramel swirl, smoked almonds, and a chocolate coating.
Previously, Jeni’s ice cream bars were only available at the brand’s scoop shops. Now, the J-Bars can be found at retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods Market, Harris Teeter, and select Target locations.
