A craving for ice cream led to unexpected consequences for a Kamloops resident, who found himself in police custody after a late-night escapade.
According to reports, just prior to 8 p.m. on May 10, an individual allegedly burglarized a business on Lorne Street, making off with multiple scoops of ice cream. Not content with his initial haul, the suspect returned to the scene shortly thereafter, evidently still yearning for more of the frozen confection.
In a bizarre turn of events, two disturbance incidents involving the same individual were subsequently reported on Victoria Street, as confirmed by Kamloops RCMP.
Law enforcement swiftly located and apprehended the suspect on Lansdowne Street, situated between 5th and 6th Avenues. Cpl. Crystal Evelyn explained, “He was detained to prevent further transgressions and later released without charges, following the property owner’s request at the time.”
