Ice Cream Rescue Raises Funds for Pine City Volunteer FD in Elmira, NY

by Alice

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — The community spirit is alive and well as Ice Cream Rescue, a beloved ice cream truck associated with Firehouse Subs, rolls into action to support the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department.

Co-Owner Gregory Davis emphasizes the importance of giving back to local fire departments, recognizing their invaluable role in safeguarding neighborhoods and responding to emergencies. “The fire departments in our local environment are important for everybody around. They’re the ones that first respond to our houses, and those are the companies that need help, those are the people that put their lives on the line. So, the least we could do is give back to them,” Davis stated.

Operating daily from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. until Saturday, the truck pledges to donate 15% of its sales, including tips and additional contributions, directly towards supporting the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department.
