SHADYSIDE, Ohio — The heart of Shadyside will come alive this weekend as the Shadyside Loop Fest returns for its 16th year, bringing family-friendly fun, live entertainment, and exciting new business openings to Central Avenue.
Set for Friday and Saturday, the annual street festival will include a packed lineup of attractions: food vendors, live music, children’s activities, a motorcycle show on Friday, and a classic car show on Saturday.
But this year’s festival has a sweet twist. The event will coincide with the grand opening of Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream and Coffee Central, both of which will open their doors inside the newly renovated former Chase Bank building. The official ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m.
“This is the 16th anniversary of the event, and it’s a really fun street festival,” said Jackee Pugh, Executive Director of Belmont County Tourism. “There are car shows, activities for kids, live music — lots of things to enjoy for free right here in the county.”
Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream, known for its rich, handcrafted flavors, already held a soft opening earlier in the week, drawing in early customers eager to sample their offerings. The brand’s Shadyside launch adds fresh energy to the latest ice cream franchise landscape in the region, while Coffee Central is expected to be a popular stop for festivalgoers and locals alike.
Pugh encouraged attendees to take full advantage of the festivities. “When you’re down at the Loop Fest, go check it out, get some great ice cream, and enjoy all the things that we have here in the county,” she said.
With the debut of Kirke’s and a growing interest in ice cream franchise opportunities, the Shadyside Loop Fest offers not just entertainment but a taste of exciting new beginnings in this small Ohio town.
