HOWELL, MI — June 3, 2025 — Get your spoons ready: the highly anticipated Howell Melon Ice Cream is back, and presales are now open. Offered annually by the Howell Rotary Club, this locally loved summer treat consistently sells out, prompting organizers to encourage early orders.

This year, 48-ounce cartons are priced at $23 during presale, with all proceeds supporting local youth and community programs, including the Howell High School Interact Club, Boy Scout Troop 362, Cub Scout Pack 365, and regional literacy initiatives.

Crafted by Guernsey Farms Dairy of Northville using a recipe created by the late Frank Spagnuolo, the ice cream is a unique tribute to Howell’s agricultural heritage. The Rotary Club emphasized their commitment to honoring Spagnuolo’s legacy by keeping this tradition alive.

For those who miss the presale, the ice cream will also be available for $25 at select local retailers closer to the festival. Dates and store locations will be announced soon.
