Scoops for Stories: A Sweet Reading Reward

A standout addition this year is the Scoops for Stories Reading Challenge, where young readers can earn a free scoop of ice cream from Sundays Ice Cream Parlour. The promotion runs during Ice Cream Weeks (July 14–19 and August 11–16), with one coupon redeemable per child per week for reporting their reading progress.

This initiative not only incentivizes reading but highlights the growing synergy between community programs and ice cream franchise opportunities that engage local youth and families.

Special Events and Tech-Focused Fun

The Library also welcomes Speaking of Wildlife for a Nature Friends presentation, where children can meet Ontario’s native animals up close and learn about their habitats. Other highlights include:

LEGO Club
