DES MOINES, Iowa — A beloved Iowa-based treat is now reaching freezers across the Midwest. Thelma’s, known for its nostalgic ice cream sandwiches, has launched a 10-pack of its signature Snickerdoodle ice cream sandwiches at Costco locations throughout the region.
Originating from a pushcart at the Des Moines Farmers Market, Thelma’s has grown into a prominent name in the ice cream franchise space. This summer, the company’s popular offering will be available at more than 100 Costco stores across Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Kentucky.
“It’s an incredible honor to bring our most nostalgic flavor to Costco shoppers,” said Nola Morris, Chief Marketing Officer of Thelma’s. “This moment reflects how far we’ve come — from a pushcart at the farmers market to freezers in one of the country’s most trusted retailers.”
Thelma’s expansion into Costco marks a significant step in the brand’s broader growth strategy and reflects rising consumer interest in latest ice cream franchise trends and unique frozen dessert offerings.
With their growing retail presence, Thelma’s adds another scoop to the evolving landscape of ice cream franchise opportunities across the U.S.
